This Privacy Policy describes how CB Chat Network ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and discloses your information when you use our mobile application (the "Service").
1. Information We Collect
We believe in data minimization. We only collect what is strictly necessary for the app to function.
- Location Data (Coarse & Fine): We collect your precise location ONLY while you are using the app. This is required to display your position on the map to other nearby users and to filter messages within your selected range. We do NOT track your movement history.
- User Generated Content: Messages, nicknames, and reports you send are stored on our servers temporarily.
- Device Identifiers: We use an anonymous unique identifier (UUID) assigned to your installation to authenticate you without requiring personal details like email or phone number.
2. Third-Party Services
We use trusted third-party services to operate the Service. These providers have their own privacy policies:
- Google Maps Platform: To display maps and location data.
- Supabase: To host our database and facilitate real-time communication.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To provide the core functionality: connecting you with nearby drivers.
- To enforce our Terms of Service (e.g., handling reports of abusive behavior).
- To improve the stability of the application (crash reporting).
4. Data Retention & Deletion
We are a "live" communication platform, not a history archive.
- Chat Messages: Automatically deleted from our servers after 24 hours.
- Location Pings: Automatically deleted after approximately 10 minutes of inactivity.
- Right to Delete: You can reset your identity by uninstalling the application or using the "Delete Account" / "Reset" feature if available in settings. Since we do not hold your email, deleting the app effectively removes access to your anonymous profile.
5. Children’s Privacy
Our Service is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
